Farewell Makrolon® – Hello Exolon® !
2021 marks a major milestone for the Exolon Group. One year after fledging from Covestro Group to operate as an independent company, Exolon Group continues to strengthen its market identity rebranding its comprehensive portfolio of polycarbonate sheet materials.
Starting in July 2021, our range of solid polycarbonate sheets formerly known as Makrolon® will also debut under a new name: Exolon® made of Makrolon®.

Our range of multiwall polycarbonate sheets are the first to be available on the market with updated branding. Starting in May 2021, the product range formerly known as Makrolon® multi UV will have a new name: Exolon® multi UV.

With the new name Exolon®, our polycarbonate sheet materials continues to perform to the highest machinability and durability characteristics customers expect from us. The same commitment to the highest caliber of raw materials, the same unparalleled extrusion expertise, and the same industry knowledge that made Makrolon® synonymous with polycarbonate sheet materials will continue under the product name Exolon®.
A smooth transition for our customers
With this product rebrand, we are committed to ensure a seamless and user-friendly transition for our customers. All certifications and specifications remain unchanged for the Exolon® product line, including safety ratings, load bearing capacities, surface qualities, and more. Similarly, no changes will be made to article numbers beyond updating the name Makrolon® to Exolon®.
